The 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Authority (24H+) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Annan Capital Partners Limited (ACP) to establish the 24H+ Creative Arts Fund, an initiative aimed at mobilising investment for the creative industries and advancing the objectives of the SHOW24 sub-programme.

ACP Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Roberta Annan, signed the agreement on behalf of Annan Capital Partners, while the Presidential Advisor on the 24-Hour Economy Programme, Goosie Tanoh, signed on behalf of the Government of Ghana.

The partnership comes at a time when Ghana’s creative economy is recognised as a significant contributor to national development.

Available data indicate that the arts and culture sector contributes about 2.5 per cent of Ghana’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), while the fashion industry alone generated about US$2.42 billion in economic value in 2025, accounting for about three per cent of GDP and supporting more than 125,000 livelihoods.

Despite such contributions, access to finance remains one of the biggest obstacles facing creative entrepreneurs and enterprises.

Musicians, filmmakers, fashion designers, cultural entrepreneurs, content creators, and other industry players have long identified limited access to capital as a major barrier to growth, expansion, and international competitiveness.

The establishment of the Creative Arts Fund is expected to help address such challenges by creating a dedicated investment platform capable of supporting high-potential creative enterprises and providing the long-term financing needed to scale operations.

SHOW24, the culture, arts, and tourism pillar of the 24-Hour Economy Programme is founded on the belief that culture is productive and creativity is capital.

It recognises that the stories Ghanaians tell, the music they compose, the films they produce, the fashion they design, and the heritage they preserve are not peripheral to economic development but central to it.

The sub-programme seeks to transform Ghana’s cultural economy into a major engine of job creation, export revenue, tourism growth, and national identity.

Achieving this vision requires patient, structured, and strategic capital that understands the unique dynamics of the creative sector and is committed to supporting its long-term growth.

The 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme is Ghana’s most deliberate effort to move from an economy that exports largely raw materials to one that creates, manufactures, builds, and exports value at every stage of the supply chain.

Within this framework, SHOW24 is expected to harness the economic potential of culture, arts, and tourism to create wealth and opportunities for Ghanaians.
