The Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has thrown his weight behind the Government’s 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development (24H+) Programme, pledging to champion the initiative wherever opportunities arise.

Speaking at the Ghana Investment and Trade Week (GITW) 2026 in Accra, the Ga Mantse described the 24H+ agenda as a critical pathway to Ghana’s economic transformation and called on businesses, investors, development partners and industry leaders to actively support its implementation.

“We really need to work at the 24-hour economy concept because it is the way to our financial freedom,” the King said. “It would be a mistake not to exploit it, explore it and benefit from it.”

The Ga Mantse declared his unwavering commitment to advancing the 24H+ agenda, affirming that he would continue to champion the Programme and use every appropriate platform to promote its vision and opportunities. His declaration reflects not only personal conviction but also the institutional support of one of Ghana’s foremost traditional authorities for the country’s flagship economic transformation agenda. “I have decided that anywhere you see a 24-hour economy, I’ll be there,” he said.

The pledge underscores the growing support the Programme is receiving from traditional authorities as Government works with the private sector and other stakeholders to build a more productive, competitive and inclusive economy.

The Ga Mantse emphasised that traditional leaders have an important role to play in the success of the Programme by promoting peace and stability, facilitating access to land for strategic investments and supporting skills development and youth employment within their communities.

He noted that Ghana’s economic transformation requires a collective national effort and encouraged all stakeholders to seize the opportunities presented by the 24H+ Programme to drive industrialisation, create jobs and expand prosperity.

The King also revealed that his commitment to the agenda extends beyond Ghana’s borders, disclosing that he recently chaired a similar programme on the 24-Hour Economy in Canada, where he promoted the vision and opportunities underpinning the initiative.

His endorsement reinforces the Secretariat’s commitment to fostering broad-based partnerships with traditional authorities, the private sector, development partners and local communities to accelerate the implementation of the 24H+ Programme.

The 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme is Ghana’s flagship economic transformation initiative aimed at increasing productivity, accelerating industrial growth, promoting exports and creating sustainable employment through continuous production and service delivery.
